Diagnosing my PC
My PC is fast on paper, sure. But I couldn't leave it at that.
The problem
I like tinkering, so I played around with my PC. And it broke. So I tried fixing it, and it didn’t work, so I tried fixing it again, and again, and again. I learned a lot during the troubleshooting. After I’d managed to fix it, I learned that I could break my PC in like 100 different ways. So I did like 50 of them and learned more from that, with my PC off for quite a while overall.
What I did
I learned the troubleshooting steps and how things work. I also learned how to help people with the knowledge I’d gained. I changed components, played around with self-hosting servers, and set up Linux and macOS too.
What came of it
I’ve got some tools to track and parse things like crashes and app launches. I had Claude analyze all of the logs, because there are a lot of them, to help me increase the speed at which my apps open.
